Avocado Oil for Hair

For a little over a month I've been using Avocado oil in my natural kinky hair as a moisturizer and I'm loving the results!
At first I was using it directly in my hair by applying a dime sized amount in my hand and rubbing it in. But more recently I've been using it in a spray bottles 1/3 Avocado Oil and 2/3
Water. I use it as a daily moisturizer and when I do my two strand twist.
I've tried Shea butter, olive oil, jojoba oil, and you name it, but nothing has offered me instant softness, shine and moisture as Avocado oil has.
You can see the shine in the photo below
I'll add a photo later of what my hair looks like when I take out the twists.
You can purchase Avocado Oil at any Health Food store or if your in Canada (like me) you can try Well.ca

Rahua Shampoo and Conditioner review

I've been Natural for about a year now. It's been tough, fun, frustrating and rewarding all at the same time. During the process I've learned a lot about my hair and my scalp. This is actually the first time in almost 20 years that I've seen what my natural hair looks like. I look forward to seeing it when it gets shoulder length (with the shrinkage).
During the one year I've decided to became natural all around, including my soap, shampoo, skin cream etc. The one thing I haven't been able to find a all natural substitute for is my make-up and face cream.
Anyways, back to my shampoo and conditioner review.
I first discovered Rahua in my November Glymm box as a small sachet sample. The sample left me wanting more, so I did some research and eventually splurged and bought myself a bottle of the shampoo and conditioner at $66 for the set. Some might argue that $66 is a bit outrageous but I don't care as I rather spend the money on quality, earth friendly ingredients that leave my scalp fresh and clean.

I've been using Rahua for a little over 3 weeks and absolutely love it. It leaves my hair incredibly clean and soooooo soft. I believe the softness comes from the fact that it's sulfate free.
I really wish I waited a few more weeks before writing a review but I just wanted to share my thoughts about this amazing new product I've discovered.
I'll write a more detailed review in about a month.

Here's some more information about Rahua -
  • RAHUA SHAMPOO
  • 100% natural, organic shampoo cleanses to create healthy, lustrous, bouncy hair and is ideal for color-treated hair. Rahua oil fortifies weak, damaged strands while nourishing and regenerating the scalp and hair follicles.
  • RAHUA CONDITIONER
  • 100% natural, organic conditioner protects to create manageable, soft hair without any build-up — and is ideal for color-treated hair. Rahua oil fortifies and nourishes weak, damaged strands

Oh.. and I detangled my hair with KEVIN.MURPHY Texture Comb which has been wonderful. No breakage!!

I would love to hear your thoughts on Rahua or any other Sulfate-Free shampoo that you have been using.

My December Glymm Box

I finally received my December Glymm box and I like it. Not love, just like.

Have a lookie :)

My box contained -
Caudalie - Hand and Nail Cream - Full size Value $19
Infused with a sweet orange fragrance, this cream is highly concentrated in patented antioxidant grapevine polyphenols and Vinolevure.
I haven't tried it yet as I'm a bit of hand cream whore (excuse my language).
I love hand cream and when I find something I like I buy it in bulk.
A few years ago, my favorite was Yves Rocher Arnica Essentiel which I've now totally replaced with Cake Beauty milk made velveteen hand creme
So I'm a bit excited to try something new, even thought I don't think it would win me over from Cake.

Ahava - Mineral Hand Cream - Full size $20
It's rich in nourishing Dead Sea minerals that hydrate and soften my skin for increased all day comfort and safeguard effectively against environmental damage.
Look forward to trying this as well.
Yves Saint Laurent - La Parisienne - Full size $85
I'm not a big perfume fan so this to me was meh.. But the bottle was so cute! I received a nice deluxe size of it too!
I'll try it out.. soon.. one day.. :)

Sula Beauty - Lip Gloss - Full size $8.00
I'm going home to try this once I'm done work!
The colour I got was "Why Stop Now"

And my last two favorites was a $10 Gift Card towards any purchase on Glymm.com (which I've already used on a butter LONDON polish) and the jelly beans.. Yummms.

I hope everyone else who got their Glymm box enjoys it.

Thanks for reading! :)

Recently I found out that China Glaze will be doing a Hunger Games themed nail Polish collection.

Loose Button Holiday box -December

This is my very first Loose Button box and sadly I'm a little disappointed with the content.
What's in the box:
Nina Ricci perfume sample - I'm not a big fan of Perfume samples unfortunately.
L'Air du Temps and Nina
DDF Advanced Firming Cream
Kerastase Elixir Ultime
And my favorite part of the whole box-
China Glaze Poinsettia; which I used immediately after opening my box :)

I thought the personalization was a nice touch.

I used butter LONDON "Tart with a Heart" polish over my China Glaze polish.
I thought it looked rather Christmas Cheer-like :)

Black Knight by Butter LONDON

My first order from Butter London and I couldn't be happier.
I first tried out the Black night.
Easy applications but after applying two coats and a top coat I noticed it felt a bit bumpy.
Removal was super fun. Took all of 20 minutes!
I've never owned a glitter polish so I never knew it would take this long to remove. First I clipped away as much as I could then removed the rest with polish removal.

You can see a bit of texture in this photo. I liked the look but didn't like the bumpiness of it.

Finally after 20 minutes of vigorous work, I was able to remove about 99% of the polish off.
This time I applied 2 coats of RGB Black polish and 1 coat of BL Black Knight and loved how it turned out. My nails were smooth and I have a feeling that removal will be much easier this time again.

Adore me, Please!

Look what I received in the mail today -

Oh! What can it be? I wonder.. hmmm

I received my first order from Adoreme.com!
About the company:
Adore Me is the first online shop to offer a personalised monthly lingerie collection to its members. Membership is just $39 per month and includes the designers’ services, the item of your choice, free shipping, and free return!
Before their website launched they had a promotion available that if you got 10 of your friend to join their mailing list you'd win a FREE Lingerie set!! How sweet it that? I won two sets. You receive 1 set per month. So far I'm loving the idea of a monthly Lingerie membership. And I love my new set! My guy is a big fan as well :)
The packing was really cute but I found the box kind of large and unnecessary.
I look forward to seeing what else in store for Adoreme.com!

RGB Nail Polish

I want to talk to you about nail polishes..
What girl doesn't love pretty nails? I know I do. But I hate how it dries out my nails and makes them crack!
Recently I discovered RGB Nail Polish which doen't contain the deadly toxic chemicals other polishes have.

RGB has No Formaldehyde, No Toluene, No DBP,
No Formaldehyde Resin, No Camphor

Now I'm not sure if this is all in my head but I found their polish very quick to dry which is always a BIG BONUS for me.  The coulor looks great and my nails are pretty. yay ;)

About RGB -
RGB is a product line dedicated solely to nail color and care. RGB creates nail color as an extension of one's wardrobe; we use color as an accessory. It started with the RGB Ten collection: ten iconic colors with a modern edge. Each shade is our sharp take on a classic with a straightforward name to match. While the classic ten will always remain the same, new colors are added seasonally. The chip-resistant and high shine formula is free of harmful chemicals. There is no Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor in RGB products.
All RGB products are cruelty free and made in the USA

Hello Bloggin World!

This is my second attempt at writing my thoughts down about my everyday, whether it's about my daily deal find, freebies, video games, movies, clothes, books, cosmetics and so one.
I also might complain about the TTC from time to time. Not that I have a problem with public transit, I just have a problem with the people who rides it sometimes.
I'm slowly getting over it.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy my random rambling!
